Six steps, and one of them is “wait”
Everything you need is inside the pack — the meal, the heater and the water. Nothing to plug in, nothing to light, nothing to wash up.
Open the tray
Lift the lid off the sealed container.
Take out the meal pouch
The food sits in its own sealed pouch, separate from the heater.
Drop in the heating pack
The heater pack goes into the base of the tray.
Add room-temperature water
Pour in the water pouch, up to the fill line. Yes — this is the one step you do. No kettle, no hot water, no power point.
Seal it back up
Meal pouch back in, lid back on. The reaction starts on its own.
Wait 10–15 minutes
Open it and eat, hot, wherever you are.
Every pack is a sealed container with a lid, and carries the activation instructions in English.
Honestly: which one do you want?
A freshly cooked bento from one of our restaurants is better food, and most of the time it's what you should order. These meals exist for the events where that isn't the question — where the budget is fixed, or the logistics make hot catering impractical.
If the food matters more than the budget does, browse our restaurant bento and buffet menus instead — same company, better lunch.
You run the seminar.
We'll pay for lunch.
For the right events, Feeds sponsors the meals — the packs come branded by us, every attendee gets something hot, and it doesn't come out of your budget. We're not selling sponsorship slots to other brands. This is us buying lunch for a room full of the people who book catering.
Lunch handled, and off your budget
- →The meals funded by us — in full or in part, depending on the event
- →A hot meal for every attendee, with no kitchen, power point or setup crew
- →Packs that arrive ahead of time and sit on a shelf until the day
- →One line item gone from a budget that was probably already tight
An audience that books catering
- →A room with HR, admin, ops or event people in it — the ones who order lunch for everyone else
- →Our branding on the packs, and a sentence from you about who fed the room
- →Enough notice to get the packs to you before the day
- →A real event with a roughly known headcount — it doesn't have to be a big one
The part people actually ask about
A tray that heats itself invites questions. Here is what has been tested and certified, and by whom.
The steam meets drinking-water standards
The steam produced by the heating reaction was independently tested by SGS against GB 5749-2006 drinking-water quality standards, and conformed on every parameter tested — microbiological, heavy metals and chemical. Report QDF21-042394-02.
Halal certified to 30 June 2028
The meals are MUIS halal certified under our manufacturer's certificate. We can send the certificate itself with the menus if your organisation needs it on file.
Retort-sterilised locally, 260g per meal
Each meal is retort-sterilised by our contract manufacturer here in Singapore — which is what makes a 12-month ambient shelf life possible without a fridge or a freezer anywhere in the chain.
Sealed container, instructions in English
A sealed tray with a lid, the meal pouch, the heating pack and the water pouch — with the activation steps printed in English on every pack, so nobody has to be briefed.
Questions we get
Is the steam safe?
Yes. The steam produced by the heating reaction was independently tested by SGS against GB 5749-2006 drinking-water quality standards and conformed on every parameter tested — microbiological, heavy metals and chemical (report QDF21-042394-02).
Does it need electricity or a flame?
No. There is no power point, no kettle and no flame involved. The heating pack reacts with room-temperature water, which is the only thing you add.
So I do have to add water?
Yes — that is the one step. You pour the supplied water pouch into the tray, close the lid and wait 10–15 minutes. Everything else, including the water, comes in the pack.
How long do the meals keep?
Unopened, 12 months at ambient room temperature. No fridge, no freezer, no cold chain.
Are they halal?
Yes. The meals are MUIS halal certified under our manufacturer's certificate, valid to 30 June 2028. The meals are manufactured in Singapore by our contract partner.
Who sponsors the meals?
We do. Feeds funds the meals for events we sponsor, and the packs carry our branding — we don't sell sponsorship slots to other brands. If you want your own branding on packs for an event you're paying for yourself, ask us and we'll tell you what's possible.
What's the minimum order?
It depends on the run and how soon you need it, so we'd rather give you a straight answer than a number that turns out to be wrong. Send us your rough quantity and timing and we'll confirm both along with the menus.
How is this different from your self-heating bentos and buffets?
Our self-heating bentos and mini buffets are food a restaurant cooked that day, delivered in a tray that keeps it hot — so they still depend on a kitchen and a delivery window, and they taste like restaurant food because they are. These retort meals are something else: sterilised and sealed at a factory, shelf-stable for 12 months, and heated by the pack itself whenever you choose to open it. Same "self-heating" idea, very different product. If you want the better food, order the bento.
What meals are available?
We'll send the current menus on request — including what's in each meal and the nutritional breakdown. Ask below and we'll email them over.
